ADVOCACY PRO VICTIMS
We have been working since 2018 in the National Congress and with the federal government, as invited experts to speak at the Public Hearings of the Special Subcommittee on Criminal Affairs of the Constitution and Justice Commission of the Chamber of Deputies and on the National Policy on the Rights of Victims of Crime, of the Ministry Women, Family and Human Rights.
In 2020, we were received on a technical visit at Victim Support Europe (VSE) by Executive Director Levent Altan and Deputy Director Aleksandra Ivankovic. The VSE is the leading European umbrella organization promoting the rights of victims, representing 61 national organizations that provide support and information services to more than 2 million people affected by crime in 31 countries. They act to improve European and international laws related to victims' rights, using research, knowledge development, and national and local capacity building.
